Magazine loses gamble on ad

A magazine was fined 225,000 yuan (US$27,000) for carrying an advertisement
for a gambling establishment, reports Beijing Daily.
The magazine, which was not named, ran an ad that included the line, "Seoul
Park is adult-entertainment heaven".
The ad also directed readers to the establishment's website, calling the park
the first international gambling enterprise in South Korea and the only one in
Seoul.
According to China's Advertising Law, publishing an ad promoting gambling is
punishable by a fine five times the charge for the ad.
