Theft gang targets industrial materials

Police have arrested several members of a large gang suspected of stealing
industrial materials from major enterprises in Beijing, reports China News
Service.
During the first half of the year, a dozen enterprises in the Fangshan
District reported missing machinery and chemicals worth as much as 10,000 yuan
(US$1,200) in each case. Much of the activity took place in June.
Following an exhaustive investigation, police arrested the leader of a gang
mainly made up of people from Henan Province. Some 10 gang members were also
arrested, but 30 others remain at large.
