Executive escapes to quiet fishing village
( 2003-09-18 13:56) (China Daily)

A missing company executive, who was believed to be kidnapped, has been found trying to live a reclusive life in a small fishing village, reports Guangzhou Daily.

Yao, the vice-chief executive of a Shenzhen company, was reported missing by his wife, Wu, on August 16.

Wu believed her husband had been kidnapped after 80,000 yuan (US$9,640) was withdrawn from his bank account on the night of his disappearance.

The police traced the man's activities to a nightclub waitress, Tong, who had also gone missing.

On September 9, police located Tong at a fishing village in her hometown in Yueyang, Hunan Province.

Yao was with her, safe and free.

He said he could not take the pressures of work anymore and wanted to start a quiet life with his lover.
