An agile cat burglar who routinely scaled the balconies of a certain 38-floor building in Chaoyang District with ease was arrested by police on Tuesday, reports Beijing Daily.

Frequent calls about the skilful burglar, who stole into rooms through windows at dizzying heights without any difficulty, raised great concern among police in the Chaoyang District. They came up with a plan to catch the thief and waited for his next move.

Then, at around 8:00 pm on Monday, a dark figure appeared on the 33rd floor. With one hand on a balcony and the other grasping the grille of an air conditioner, the burglar eased himself down a drainpipe to the 29th floor. His Kung Fu-like dexterity impressed the officers.

However, as police tried to approach him stealthily, the sly burglar quickly disappeared into the building. But with all the exits closed and following an intense search of the premises, officers were finally able to seize the burglar on the 26th floor at 7:00 am on Tuesday.
