Jail term for smashing phones

A man who destroyed four public telephones to vent his spleen after a quarrel
with his girlfriend has been sentenced to four years in prison.
Wu, who lived in Xingning, was also ordered to pay 20,400 yuan (US$2,460) to
the local telecom bureau, reports Information Times.
Wu was scolded by his girlfriend for drinking too much at a dinner with
friends on April 6.
Angry and intoxicated, he smashed four telephone booths in the street with
bricks.
