After taking the College English Test (CET) 4 on Saturday, some students were surprised to find that nearly half of the test questions were the same as those presented at a paid lecture on Friday night.

Immediately after finishing the exam, a student named Bao told a reporter from Beijing Times that many students responded to an ad for a preparatory lecture on CET 4 to be held at the China University of Geosciences.

The lecture, presented by the Yuhang Exams Training School, charged 50 yuan (US$6.00) per person.

The potential test questions covered at the lecture were almost exactly the same as half of those that appeared in the actual CET 4.

Quite a number of students expressed their amazement at the coincidence, saying it didn't seem fair to students who had not attended the lecture.
