12 years for teen who killed granny

A 17-year-old who killed his
grandmother and injured his grandfather before searching their home for money to
feed his Internet habit was sentenced to 12 years in jail by the Second
Intermediate People's Court in Beijing on Tuesday, reports Beijing Morning Post.
The boy became addicted to surfing the Net after leaving school. At around 11
pm on June 15, he entered his grandparents' bedroom and began attacking them
with a kitchen knife. His grandmother died instantly, and his grandfather
sustained serious injuries. But the teenager only found 2 yuan (24 US cents), in
his grandmother's pocket.
He turned himself in to police the following morning.
