Two teachers had to be hospitalized after being attacked by three teenaged students they tried to discipline, reports Guangzhou Daily.

The incident occurred at Huangcun Middle School in Heyuan County on September 25 when one of the school bullies was being reprimanded in the teachers' office for insulting a woman teacher in class.

Meanwhile, his two friends made taunting noises outside the door, prompting a teacher surnamed He to shout at them.

The three students attacked and beat He until six other teachers were able to stop them. But the boys then turned on another teacher, Zhang, when he tried to tackle them.

In front of policemen summoned to take them away, a student surnamed Zou threatened Zhang and the injured He, saying "You're dead."

After being released by police the next day, Zou followed Zhang to a street where he struck him with an iron pipe.

Zhang is still in hospital receiving treatment for the serious injury he suffered, while Zou has been taken into police custody.
