Visitors to the upcoming Fifth China Hi-Tech Fair (CHTF) in Shenzhen will have their temperature taken before entering the exhibition hall to prevent possible Sars infections, reports Shenzhen Commercial Daily.

The annual event will be held from October 12 to 17 at CHTF Exhibition Centre.

A Sanitation and Disease Control Office will be set up to co-ordinate disinfection work and deal with medical emergencies.

Caterers at the fair are required to destroy cooked food if it is not consumed within two hours.
