A young woman was killed and her husband and son seriously injured in a knife attack by a neighbour who had been making sexual advances to the woman, reports New Express News.

The suspect, Ouyang, has been detained by police.

Ouyang and the victims lived in the dormitory of a quarry in Panyu District.

The injured husband, surnamed Hu, said his wife had complained about harassment from Ouyang several times. And the latter refused to back off when confronted.

Hu said he rushed home when he heard screams on September 28 and found his wife lying in a pool of blood. He charged towards Ouyang with a chopper in hand, but was hacked eight times.

Hu's son, who was hit on the head, was saved by a neighbour.
