Three drunken men attacked a child and an elderly woman, then sped away in a car despite police attempts to stop them in Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, last Saturday, reports Jiangnan City Paper.

Police investigating the case are still looking for the men.

They do know that the car driven by the drunken men belongs to the city's Qingshan District government.

According to witnesses, the heavily intoxicated men left a restaurant, got into the car and backed over a 10-year-old boy.

When the boy's grandmother complained and asked them to apologize, the men beat both the child and the elderly woman severely.

Policemen were called to the scene, but the men escaped, injuring a policeman in the process.
