A man is being sued for divorce after getting someone to call his wife out of the house long enough for him to retrieve his belongings, Shanghai Evening Post reports.

Guo Xiang and Zhu Huimei (not their real names) married in 2001, but since last October Guo, the husband, who was having an affair, began returning home late or not at all. On June 9, Guo left for work but did not return home that evening or on subsequent nights. Three days later, Zhu received a call from a woman who claimed to be a friend of Guo.

She asked Zhu to meet for a talk, but although Zhu turned up on time, the woman never appeared.

After returning home, Zhu discovered that Guo had taken the opportunity to remove his things, as well as 1,500 yuan (US$180) in cash, from their home.
