The re-entry capsule of the Shenzhou V, China's first manned spaceship, will go on show at the China Millennium Monument from today through next Thursday, reports Beijing Evening News.

In addition to the capsule, other interesting exhibition items include the space suit worn by China's first astronaut Yang Liwei, food specially prepared for space travel, and models of the Long March Rocket.

The exhibit will eventually travel to Hong Kong and Shanghai.

The Beijing show is the first public Shenzhou V exhibit to be held following the rocket's successful mission.
