Seventeen college students were forced to eat dishes that gave them severe stomach aches, reports Lanzhou Morning Post.

Wei Wei (not his real name), a student at Xinghua College in Jinchang City, told the newspaper that on Saturday he and his classmates complained to their headmaster that the school's dining room did not provide them with enough food.

The cook, Chen, became so angry that he forced the students to eat one more steamed bun and a fried dish.

They were also compelled to drink soup that Chen had prepared with far more seasoning than necessary.

All of the 17 students who were forced to eat fell ill later that night and six were sent to hospital.
