Li Yang, a single 22-year-old man, was puzzled - more than 10 women, none of whom he'd ever met, called him in one day wanting to go out with him, Tianfu Morning Post reports.

Li was still asleep on Monday morning when he received a call from a young woman who began asking him all sorts of personal questions about his physique and his salary. As the day went on, Li answered another 10 such calls. The next day, a matchmaking agency called Li, urging him to formally register with the service that day as previously agreed.

But Li had never visited a matchmaking firm.
