Stuck savings useless after 10 years

A pile of banknotes worth 50,000 yuan (US$6,040) that an elderly woman hid
under her bed for nearly a decade has fused together into a "brick", Xinhua
reports.
Wang received the pension for her husband's death in the mid-1980s. Instead
of putting the money in a bank, she believed the safest place was under her bed.
Wang packed the 500 100-yuan (US$12) notes in some paper and stashed them away.
But, affected by the damp over a long period of time, the bills stuck
together and can not be separated.
