Car firm sued over accident

A man is suing Changchun AFW, which manufactures the Hongqi sedan, over
defective tyres on his car after it was involved in a serious traffic accident
that killed his son, reports Beijing Times.
In May, as Lu, his wife and their 17-year-old son were driving on the
Beijing-Shijiazhuang expressway, their car, a Hongqi, suddenly veered out of
control and turned over. The couple suffered serious injuries and their son died
on the spot. After careful investigation, Lu found some crucial defects on the
tyres, which police cited as the key cause of the accident.
Lu is suing the car manufacturer for compensation.
