Man electrocuted while urinating ( 2003-11-05 17:06) (China Daily)
A man was electrocuted when he urinated on a railway track and attracted a
current from a high-voltage power line, reports Information Times.
The man was urinating from a bridge on Guangyuan West Road, under which the
Beijing-Guangzhou railway track passes, on Monday morning.
He was suddenly pulled toward the power line and electrocuted for about one
minute before dropping to the ground, said a sanitation worker who witnessed the
scene.
Railway power lines carry up to 380 kilowatts of electricity, which can be
transmitted via fluids such as urine. Many migrant workers are in the habit of
relieving themselves at the quiet corner.
