Thief's fall persuades gang to quit

After one of their partners in crime fell 10 stories and died, three cat
burglars vowed to give up stealing, reports Chongqing Morning Post.
At dawn on Tuesday, a young man fell from the 10th floor of a residential
building and died after breaking into an apartment and escaping out the window
with a stolen cellphone. When police arrived on the scene, the man's three
partners were stood round his body crying.
The men told police that they turned to theft earlier this year in hopes of
finding a better life in Chongqing. "After witnessing his terrible end, we will
never steal again," they declared.
