Man jailed for short message harassment

A man who sent obscene short
messages to a stranger over the past month is serving 15 days in police custody,
reports Beijing Youth Daily.
A young woman called police on Saturday to report that she had been receiving
a stream of obscene messages since mid-October from an unfamiliar mobile phone
number.
After tracing the man through his mobile number, police warned him to stop,
but he continued to send the messages, resulting in his arrest.
