'Helpful' cabby does more harm
( 2003-11-13 17:31) (China Daily)

A taxi driver set a minibus on fire in a misguided attempt to help the bus' driver check his engine, reports Beijing Youth Daily.

On Monday evening, a minibus experiencing engine trouble came to a halt in the middle of a road near the Ciyunsi Bridge.

The driver got out and flagged down the taxi for help.

The bus driver told the cabby he thought something was leaking from the engine.

It was getting dark, so the taxi driver ignited his lighter to get a better look at the engine when it burst into flames.

Firefighters soon arrived and extinguished the blaze.
