'Bridesmaid' steals lai-see at wedding

A 17-year-old girl was caught posing as a bridesmaid to steal lai-see at a
wedding last week, reports Guangzhou Daily.
The suspect, surnamed Wu, dressed like a bridesmaid and mingled with the
guests without difficulty.
She "generously" offered to keep an eye on the bride's belongings and
pocketed some 10,000 yuan (US$1,200) in lai-see - gift money from wedding guests
- during the banquet.
Police said Wu had been sent to a centre for juvenile delinquents once before
for stealing at a wedding.
