British child molester sentenced to 42 years by Thai court

A British man was sentenced to 42 years in prison for child-sex offenses by a
Thai court, the Nation newspaper reported Tuesday.
Robert Errol Woods, 24, was convicted on Nov. 24 for molesting boys aged
below 15 between August of 2002 and this January. The Thai court also found him
guilty of producing pornographic material.
Evidence showed Woods filmed his offenses against the victims, the report
said.
The court reduced his term from 63 years to 42 years because Woods gave
testimony beneficial to the trial. But when an interpreter translated the
court's verdict, Woods slammed a table and shouted abuse at the judges.
When he returned to the courtroom after calming down, Woods issued an apology
but was handed an additional two months for contempt.
