Beaten boy receives 50,000 yuan from peers

Three middle school students
who beat a fellow student were ordered to pay him 50,000 yuan (US$6,000),
reports Beijing Youth Daily. The victim suffered temporary deafness in one ear
and psychological problems as a result of the attacks.
Xiao Liang and his three classmates got into an argument last June, during
which the three boys hit Xiao Liang about the face and forced him to slap
himself.
Xiao Liang went deaf in his right ear for a time and also suffered mental
distress.
He later sued his classmates for the cost of his medical
fees.
