Jail term 1 way to get divorced

A man seeking a divorce from his wife planned to get himself sent to prison
by stealing a colleague's mobile phone, reports www.dayoo.com.
Yu, 26, of Haian County in Jiangsu Province, asked his wife for a divorce
last year, but she refused. In his desperation, he came up with the idea of
getting arrested and sent to prison. On June 14, 2003, he stole a Nokia mobile
phone worth 2,375 yuan (US$287) from a coworker. He was finally arrested in
August.
On Tuesday, a court sentenced him to six months in jail and fined him 4,500
yuan (US$540), which made his wife finally agree to a divorce.
