Tipsy student jailed for bomb threat

A college student has been sentenced to one year in prison for making a
mischievous phone call to the school's president, reports Sanqin City News.
On the evening of July 19, Xin Yawei, a student at Xi'an Aviation Technology
College, was depressed because the school had restricted students from going out
as part of precautions against SARS.
After drinking a bottle of beer, Xin called the college president and said he
was preparing to blow up the gate of the college.
The president called police immediately, who evacuated nearly 1,000 students
as well as more than 30 families in the surrounding
neighbourhood.
