Law throws book at pirate vendors
( 2003-12-09 17:16) (China Daily)

Nine booths caught selling pirated books at an ongoing book festival at the Temple of Earth have been punished, reports Beijing Times.

The paper said that more than 6,000 pirated books and some 4,300 CDs were confiscated on the first day of the festival, which runs from December 5 through 15.

Residents who find illegal publications at the festival are urged to ring 8425 1184 to help the government clamp down on pirate publishers.
