A large number of overweight students suffer from fatty livers, according to research conducted by assistant professor Wan Yanping with Renji Hospital, Shanghai Evening Post reports.

Of 306 fat students Wan examined, 132 were diagnosed as cases of fatty liver.

Researchers also conducted physical examination of 755 students in two middle schools, of whom 90 were categorized as "fat" and 86 "too fat".
