A starving leopard attacked a group of wild boar at a forestry farm in Lingshan Mountain on the western outskirts of Beijing Monday and killed one by slashing its throat, Xinhua News Agency reports.

Farm vice-director Zhang Zhenshui said the leopard leapt over the pen's wall after attacking the boar, which had a ear bitten off and its throat slit.

This is the sixth time that leopards have stuck the farm; and the recent attack is believed to be because of a shortage of food in the cold weather, according to Zhang.
