A youth who attempted to set off a big explosion and kill himself in a public bath in Luoyang, a city in Central China's Henan Province, has been captured by police, reports Luoyang Evening News.

Lu, 18, a native of Yanshi City, stole a detonator and explosive powder from a coal mine he used to work for; and schemed to blow himself up because of the emotional pressure caused by his parents' upcoming divorce.

The case is under investigation.
