India, Pakistan agree to start dialogue in Feb ( 2004-01-06 17:29) (Agencies) India and Pakistan have
agreed to start a broad dialogue next month in an effort to settle their
disputes, after a ground-breaking meeting between their leaders, the two sides
said on Tuesday.
"To carry the process forward, the president of Pakistan and the prime
minister of India have agreed to commence the process of composite dialogue in
February 2004," Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha told a news conference,
reading from a joint statement.
