An eight-month-old baby suffering from a high fever in Jinan city of Shangdong Province was found to have a 4-centimetre needle in her abdomen on Tuesday, reports Qilu Evening News.

The doctor suspects that a needle left behind on the baby's clothes pierced her abdomen and injured the liver. The infant is going to have surgery in Jinan Central Hospital to have the needle taken out.
