Passengers who use luggage
carts at Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport are required to put down a
deposit or leave their identity cards, passports or travel documents with the
deposit office, Southern Metropolis News reports.
The airport used to provide more than 500 carts, free of charge, but the
service has recently been suspended.
More than half of the carts used at the airport were either stolen or damaged
since October
