Two Chinese students murdered in Norway
The Norwegian police informed the Chinese Embassy on Sunday of the names of the two Chinese students murdered several days ago at a college in the Norwegian capital of Oslo. The male student is named Wu Yuhang, 21, and the female, Yu Ningyan, 22, both from Fujian province of southeastern China. They arrived in Norway last September to study in the Sarpsborg musical instrument college. Police said that after school, the two victims had also worked in restaurants and participated in local Chinese religious activities. Therefore, they need to conduct a wide-ranging investigation to find clues about the murders. The college, with 160 students, including 15 from China, is the only one of its kind in Norway. The bodies were discovered Friday morning in an apartment of the university. After a preliminary probe, police confirmed on Saturday that the victims were two Chinese students. Technical evidence on the scene indicated that the students were murdered a few days ago, but no valuable clues have been found so far. According to the Chinese Embassy in Oslo, at present, there are about 1,000
Chinese students in Norway. |
