Forget 62 points. Tracy McGrady believes it's just a matter of time before he breaks 70.

"It'll happen before I retire," McGrady said Thursday.

McGrady scored 62 Wednesday night against the Washington Wizards (news), the NBA's biggest scoring spree in almost a decade. In Orlando's 108-99 win, he had 50 points by late in the third quarter. But McGrady missed 10 of 11 shots and six of 16 free throws down the stretch.

Still, he's only the 11th player in NBA history to reach 62 points. Eight are in the Hall of Fame: Wilt Chamberlain, David Thompson, Elgin Baylor, Pete Maravich, Rick Barry, George Gervin, Jerry West and Joe Fulks. The other two ¡ª Michael Jordan and David Robinson ¡ª are not yet eligible but should be enshrined soon.

McGrady had Thursday off, so he spent the afternoon cheering up patients and signing autographs at Florida Children's Hospital.

"A championship, scoring 62 points ¡ª I really don't much care for that when I'm here," McGrady said after his half-hour visit. "I just care about the kids and their health, and that's all that matters to me."

McGrady donated $1,000 to the hospital for each point he scored in the All-Star game; his contribution came to $13,000.
