Officials from Manchester United are pleased with the improvement Dong Fangzhuo has made, according to general secretary of Royal Antwerp Paul Bistiaux.

Dong still hasn't a work permit.
Bistiaux said, Manchester United under 19's manager Both Brian McClair and reserves manager Ricky Sbragia recently took a trip over to Royal Antwerp early this month to check on the progress of the club's youngsters here.

Dong, along with Souleymane Mamam from Togo and Arthur Gomez from Gambia, is playing for the Belgian club, as they failed to get work permits to play in Britain.

"Brian was with us two weeks ago to check on the guys," Bistiaux said: "I know United are very happy with the progress that is being made by the players. I think particularly the way Dong and Souleymane are progressing is very pleasing."

"Arthur has had a lot of injuries, but is still doing well. "

"The way it is looking at the moment, all could make it Old Trafford, and both
Dong and Souleymane could be with them within two years."
