Adriano scored two first-half goals and Inter Milan beat AS Roma 2-0 Sunday in a first-leg final of the Italian Cup.

The Brazilian striker scored in the 30th minute with a powerful left-footed drive from 35 yards, then made it 2-0 in the 36th with a close range header off a free kick by Ze Maria.

The away win gave Inter a cushion entering Wednesday's second-leg final at San Siro, when it will be without Adriano and its Argentine internationals who must play with their national teams.

Inter is shooting for its fourth Italian Cup title, and its first since 1982.
