Survivors of Japanese air raids mourn the bombing victims in
Southwest China's municipality of Chongqing July 7, 2005. Starting from 1938,
the Japanese invading troops carried out 5-and-a-half-year bombings on
Chongqing, China's then wartime capital, making no distinctions between troops
and civilians, leaving 11889 citizens dead.[newsphoto]
