Delegations of China, the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) and the United States to the fourth round of six-party talks all wished the talks would achieve "substantive results", said Alexander Alexeyev, head of the Russian delegation and deputy Russian foreign minister.

Informed sources here disclosed that Alexander Alexeyev gave this remark after his delegation held bilateral meetings with the DPRK, Chinese and US delegations on Monday.

The Russian delegation arrived in Beijing Monday morning.

On the same day, the US delegation had contacts with the delegations of the Republic of Korea (ROK), Japan, Russia and DPRK. Consulations were also made between Japan and ROK delegations.

Earlier, the ROK delegation conferred with DPRK delegation on Sunday.
