MILWAUKEE, United States (AFP) - Croatian playmaker Toni Kukoc, who won three National Basketball Association titles with the Chicago Bulls, will hang around and help top draft pick Andrew Bogut adjust to life in the NBA.

Kukoc signed a one-year deal to stay with the Milwaukee Bucks here on Friday. The 12-year veteran must be paid at least 1.13 million dollars.

The versatile forward was limited by injuries last season and averaged career lows of 5.6 points and 3.0 rebounds a game. But a fit form should give him a chance to work alongside Australian rookie center Bogut.

"In addition to his solid, veteran presence on the floor, Toni's knowledge and experience will be an invaluable asset to the younger players on our roster," Bucks coach Terry Stotts said.

Kukoc has averaged 12.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists in 781 NBA games with Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta and Milwaukee.
