Wang, who also took a gold and a silver last weekend in Salt Lake City, won the race with a time of 38.01, followed by Sayuri Yoshi of Japan and China's Wang Beixing.

Chinese also took the silver in the man's 500 meters as Yu Fengtong skated to 35.24, 0.04 second behind the winner Lee Kang-Secok form South Korea.

Japan's Joji Kato, who set a world record time of 34.30 last weekend in Salt Lake City, finished 19th, in last place, after slipping in the first two turns.

Jennifer Rodriguez and Shani Dave gave the United States a sweep in the 1,000 meters. Rodriguez had a winning time of one minute, 15.50 seconds while Davis, who set the 1,000 world record of 1:07.03 last weekend, won in 1:08.33.

"It's not really too much about winning," said Rodriguez, who won bronze in the 1,000 and 1,500 at the Salt Lake City Olympics in 2002.

"I had a really solid race. I really didn't make any mistakes. All my other races, it's always been a little bobble here, a little something stupid there."

Skaters from 19 countries and regions competed, and rink records were set in every event. They will race again at both distances on Sunday.
