Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon (L) and

Wednesday and was under sedation while undergoing hospital treatment, his
doctor, Shlomo Mor-Yosef, told reporters. Cabinet secretary Israel Maimon
said Olmert would assume Sharon's powers.
