Luo Haocai -- Vice-chairman of 10th CPPCC National Committee

The following is the biographical sketch of Luo Haocai, who was just elected vice-chairman of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC):

Luo Haocai, male, born in 1934, of Han nationality, native of Anxi, Fujian Province, and joined China Zhi Gong Party in 1992;

Was jailed by the British colonial authorities in Singapore in 1951-1952, studied respectively in Zhiyong Middle School in Guangzhou, Guandong Province and No. 1 Middle School of Wuxi city,Jiangsu Province in 1952-1956;

Graduated from Law Department of Beijing University in 1960; assistant teacher, lecturer, associate professor and professor of Law Department, and vice-president, of Beijing University in 1960-1993; chairman of Beijing Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese;vice-chairman of China Law Society in 193-1995.

Vice-chairman of the 4th and 5th Council of All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese; vice-chairman of the 10th Central Committee and chairman of the 11th and 12th Central Committee of China Zhi Gong Party, vice-president of Supreme People's Court, president of the 6th Council of China Council for the Promotion of Peaceful Reunification in 1995-2000.

Vice-chairman of the 9th CPPCC National Committee since 1998.
