Nong'an Liao Tower

Nong'an once was the location of the Huanglong Government in Jin Dynasty. In Liao and Jin Dynasty, it was so prosperous that it left many historical spots, the most typical one of which is Liao Tower, which was the masterpiece of the northeastern people in 10 A.D. Nong'anLiao Tower, a fully preserved Liao and Jin Dynasty ruin,was built near the West Gate of Nong'an County in Jilin between the year 983 and 1030. The white tower is made of stick and wood with stick solid.

It is 43 meters' tall with 8 angles and 13 floors.On every angle of each floor there is dragon, horse, lion like stick and dougong with a four- angled Aeolian bell, and a kettlelike door. The tower b becomes thinner and thinner till the top is towering to the skies.At the top there is a stick room where once two bronze Buddha statues and other Buddhist articles were hidden (now it is preserved in Jilin Historical Museum).The recovered JiGang Temple is so delicate, elegant that it wins YueFei's praise' reaching Huanglongfu instantly, drink hard'.n addition, nong'an city was the Huanglongfu of Liao and JinI Dynasty, and till now many historical legacies like the ancient tower of Liao Dynasty are still preserved in it.
