Head coach of China's national soccer team Arie Haan has vowed to play attack soccer in Wednesday's international friendly against Algeria in France, reports said Monday.

The Dutch was brave enough to make this kind of decision after their humiliating 6-0 defeat to Barcelona in Nou Camp last week. It was China's biggest-margin loss in their international history.

"We will play attack football again in the match," the Beijing Times quoted him as saying.

He said that the defeat to Barcelona was not the fault of the Chinese defence. "We lack an efficient attacking midfield," he said.

Haan has recalled defenders Sun Jihai and Shao Jiayi, who play for English premier league side Manchester City and German Bundsliga team Munich 1860.
