Typhoon Matsa weakens down

Typhoon Matsa was weakened down to a strong tropical storm at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, said China Meteorological Administration.

Matsa landed at Ganjiang Township in Yuhuan County, east China's Zhejiang province at 3:40 a.m. Saturday.

The typhoon center is moving to the west of the province's city of Shaoxing, or 29.5 north latitude and 120.2 east longitude and is moving northwestward at a speed of ten kilometers per hour.

No casualty is reported as of 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
