Ferrari, known for its high-performance red sports cars, formally joined the car industry's move toward electrification when it unveiled its first hybrid car, a concept model painted bright green, at the Geneva motor show Tuesday. The Ferrari 599 hybrid's CO2 emissions are cut to 270g/km - a 35% reduction from a conventional petrol-only model. The brand said it planned to offer green technology as an option across its entire line of cars by 2015. |
