Qiyundao Tea from Huangshan entitled 2010 Most Popular Green Tea in Hong Kong

Qiyundao Tea sent by Huangshan Qiyunshan Natural Food Co. Ltd is some of the best tea around, according to Hong Kong International Tea Fair officials.

On August 20, the tea beat out 200 other teas at the fair and won the Outstanding Merit Award in the green tea group in the 2010 Most Popular Tea Election in Hong Kong.

The second Hong Kong International Tea Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the International Association for Chinese Tea Culture, hosted over 300 companies from more than 24 countries and regions. Over 9,500 guests from 69 countries and regions and, nearly 8,000 celebrities attended the fair between August 12 and 14.

Many famous tea brands were available at the fair. China’s Top 10 tea brands, including Keemun Black Tea and Huangshan Maofeng, authentic Darjeeling Tea from India, Ceylon Tea from Sri Lanka, Pouchong Tea from Taiwan and the rare Chocolate Tea from India were featured. New Zealand’s organic and pollution-free tea was also made it to the fair.

Fair organizers held a Most Popular Tea Election, in which breeds of teas were categorized into groups of red tea, green tea and black tea. A board of international juries selected five outstanding breeds from each group and then visitors, celebrities and industry buyers voted for the ultimate winners of each group. Qiyundao Tea sent from Xiuning county, Huangshan city, stood out from over 200 breeds of green tea, and was awarded the 2010 Most Popular Green Tea for its superb quality.
