Yingjiang Port
( chinadaily.com.cn )

Yingjiang Port is located in Yingjiang County, west of Dehong Dai and Jingpo Nationality Autonomous Prefecture.

Yingjiang is well known for its big Yingjiang River. Eighty kilometers away from Myanmar's Myitkyina, Yingjiang Port is connected with Myanmar's Laza port and has been a major channel to the Indian continent since ancient times. On August 10th, 1991, the Yunnan government authorized Yingjiang to become a Chinese State Council-approved second-class port.

Due to its unique geographical advantages, Yingjiang Port has topped Yunnan's second-class ports in terms of importing and exporting freight and goods gross value since 2003. Since the opening-up policy began, the port has become an important economic trade channel at home and abroad. The business even covers some major frontier towns, such as Bhamo, Myitkyina, Rangoon and Ledo. A comprehensive trade pattern is taking shape. Frontier trade, foreign cooperation and transfer port trade are all happening. According to the 11th national five-year port development plan, it is likely to develop into a Chinese State Council-approved first-class port.
