On the morning of Dec 17, an informational discussion was held about the relationship Dehong established with neighboring countries. Zhao Jin, the secretary of Dehong Prefectural Committee, said more than 400 meetings and talks between the government of Dehong and the local authority of Myanmar were held, and more than 180 foreign-related cases have been dealt with since 2006.

The cooperation has been fruitful for both sides. The annual Myanmar-China border trade fair took place in Ruili of China and Muse of Myanmar alternately, to promote the development of both countries. Tak of Thailand has become the 20th sister city of Yunnan province. The third K2K (The two Ks referring to Kunming, capital of Yunnan, and Kolkata, capital of West Bengal) international forum was launched in Dehong and boosted the relationship between Dehong and West Bengal.

Myanmar and other neighboring countries are China's close neighbors and have maintained friendly exchanges and cooperation with China, including in education, culture, agriculture, tourism, and sanitation.

After the discussion, journalists will go to their interviews separately.
